Co-organised Solvay Workshop "From 2D to 3D Crystals: A Multi-Scale, Multi-Technique and Multi-System Approach of the Crystallization of Organic Molecules on Tailored Carbon Surfaces"


Brussels, 21 - 23 March 2022 (ULB - Campus Plaine - Solvay Room)

An international workshop, which will put together experts on crystal growth, polymorphism, epitaxy, surface modifications, and characterization methods. Participants and speakers are welcome to attend in person or remotely. The goal of the meeting is to discuss the latest results of the 2Dto3D project in an international context.

Practical information for attendees

Regulations related to the Covid-19

- Traveling to Belgium is allowed provided the following rules apply (see the official website).

- You have to fill in the Passenger Location Form (PLF) before your arrival in Belgium, even if you are fully vaccinated. 

- For hotels, restaurants, bars, cultural institutions (cinemas, theatres etc.), proof of full vaccination (2 jabs) / recovery is mandatory.

During the workshop

- Please wear a mask where necessary, wash hands frequently or use hydroalcoholic gel, do not shake hands and respect social distancing when possible.

- Every participant will be requested to provide a digital or printed “covid safe pass” (i.e., “proof of 2 vaccinations”) upon their arrival.

Fee and registration

Attendance is free of charge but registration is required (limited space).

Name badges will be distributed on site on Monday 21 March 2022 from 09:30 a.m.


Poster session

A poster session will be organized on Monday 21 March, poster presentation from attendees is strongly encouraged.

 

If you wish to apply, please send a title and a short abstract (maximum 500 words including references)
to Isabelle Van Geet by email at isabelle.vangeet@solvayinstitutes.be, by 16 March 2022.

Notifications regarding the status of your abstract will be sent once the review process is complete.

The workshop will be held at ULB (Université Libre de Bruxelles) - Campus Plaine - Bld de la Plaine

Banquet

A banquet will be held on Tuesday 22 March at 7:30 p.m.
For those who wish to attend, there will be a 50 Euro banquet fee to be paid cash on the first day of the workshop.

An email with the banquet registration details will be sent to all participants in March.
